Age guide

Our board books are suitable to be used from birth up to preschool and beyond.

When a baby is born their field of vision is very short so placing or holding a black and white book approximately 30cm in front on their face will help stimulate the muscles in their eyes helping them learn to co-ordinate.

At around 5 months your baby's field of vision becomes much wider but black and white books can still be part of their everyday play.

You may find the book is useful for;
• Tummy time
• Fine motor skills as they turn the pages
• Whilst travelling an on the go
• Learning the names of the animals
• Learning about the world around them
• Fostering a love of reading
• Part of your every day sensory play
• To provide quiet time

Materials

Made from FSC certified paper.

The book is 150mm x 150mm x 18mm. Approx weight is 349g.

There are 12 internal pages and there is a map on the inside cover to illustrate where the animals are from.

Individual books are thin enough to fit through an average letter box but multiple books will be treated as a small parcel.

Introducing our lovely black and white baby board book Extraordinary Animals from the Land of Oz.

In this book, find 12 animals who live in Australia. From the kangaroo, to the koala, to snakes and cockatoos, enjoy sharing these picture books with babies and toddlers to help stimulate their development and inspire an early love of wildlife.

The perfect size and shape for little fingers and will withstand a good bit of chewing and throwing, our board books are designed to last from birth through the toddler years and beyond.

A must have parenting tool to inspire a love of reading from an early age and create moments to cherish.

Black and white registers the strongest on a baby's retina at birth, and this continues for around 5 months. High contrast images can help stimulate their brain and strengthen eye muscles helping the eyes work together in a co-ordinated way.

Not just for the first 5 months however, we have seen children come back to our black and white books time and time again as they grow and learn. Our picture books are designed to help with sensory play at every stage of development up to preschool and beyond.

A great value parenting tool to inspire a love of reading from an early age and create moments to cherish and bond with little ones. You will get so much use out of this little black and white book it is a must have for any parents.
