Summer read along Moban and Sky’s Mindful Adventure
Moban and Sky’s Mindful Adventure by Bernie Leonard
This book takes parents, carers and children on a mindfulness journey to empower them to live calmer and look within to work through their emotions and have the tools to overcome anxieties and worries.
Bernie writes that the book is an illustrated guide that provides seven techniques that adults can use with children either at home or in the classroom to help little ones feel more calm and confident and in control of their emotions.
I looked through this book with our 4 year old and we both really loved the illustrations and how accessible the book made the subject of mindfulness. The character Moban and Sky are really cute and help children to connect with the exercises.
The exercises themselves are really easy to follow but also have enough detail to help adults understand the techniques and the benefits of each one.
A great balance of factual information, practical help and fun characters making the book a great tool to have in the parenting toolkit, to help guide children through the ups and downs of growing up.
